Education

The committee has established a European Postgraduate Specialisation Certificate in Radiopharmacy. This certificate is available to anyone who completes a defined programme of education and a two-year period of practical experience in the field. The programme is coordinated by a member of the Radiopharmacy Committee, Prof. Dr. Philip Elsinga.

The syllabus is taught in three blocks of two weeks and includes Pharmacy (Block 1), Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry (Block 2) and Associated Subjects (Block 3).

At the present time the following courses which teach this syllabus are planned:

• Postgraduate Certificate Course in Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry/Radiopharmacy
  Postgraduate Diploma Swiss Technical University, Zurich, Switzerland (ETH-Z) (in english language): starting at Faculty of Pharmacy Ljubljana and University Medical Centre Ljubljana, Department of Nuclear Medicine, Ljubljana, Slowenia, 2011 (Block 1), followed by the ETH-Z, Zurich February 2012 (ETH-Z, Block 2) and the University of Leipzig, Leipzig, Germany, September 2012 (Block 3).
