Annual Congress

World Leading Meeting

The annual congress of EANM is the world leading meeting in the field of Nuclear Medicine. It has become a forum for scientific exchange as well as for business and personal networking, attracting about 6,300 participants from all over the world. The congress is well established and recognised by colleagues and is seen by industry as the foremost marketplace for nuclear medicine products throughout Europe.

The congress features various session types, such as Plenary and CME sessions, Joint and Committee Symposia, various tracks like Do.MoRe and M2M, the educational track with Pitfalls & Artefacts and Teaching Sessions, featured and full paper sessions where the most relevant advances in the field during the past year are presented. Best papers will be presented during the Rapid Fire Sessions. Technologists will have a self-contained Technologist Track. All posters will be presented as digital e-Posters.

To highlight scientific excellence, the best paper submitted to the annual congress is bestowed the prestigious Marie Curie Award with a prize money of € 5,000.-. Defined rules guide the eligibility criteria and the selection process.

Each year, in recognition of great expertise in the field of Nuclear Medicine, one of its’ European leaders is invited by the EANM Congress Chair to present the Marie Curie Lecture in the first Plenary Session at the EANM Congress.

The Plenary Session at the end of each EANM Congress is dedicated to the Highlights Lecture which offers a comprehensive summary of the best scientific presentations of the congress.
