Registration fees need to be paid 4 weeks prior to the event. In case the payment is not received by this deadline, the registration needs to be cancelled. Payment can be settled by

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the EANM Office. Telephone cancellations cannot be accepted. Substitutions will be accepted and can be made at any time. Name and e-mail address of substitutes need to be sent to the EANM Office 4 weeks prior to the event. In the case of cancellation 4 weeks before the course, we will refund you the fee less a € 100,- administration charge.
After this date we cannot grant any refund for cancellations. Any refund will take place after the respective course. EANM will not be held liable for cancellation fees of hotels, airlines or other means of transportation.
This advanced course is focused on imaging infection with radiolabelled WBC. A special attention is given to the labelling procedure and quality controls for white blood cells (WBC) scintigraphy that is the nuclear medicine gold standard modality when an infection is suspected.
In addition to cell labelling method, the facilitators will follow 4 different patients in real time as for their preparation, cell labelling, image acquisition and interpretation protocols as well as in-vivo quality controls.
Pitfalls and regulatory aspects will be covered as well in this course.
- WBCs labelling methods (leukokit vs open procedure), regulations and QCs
- WBCs protocols for image acquisition
- Interpretation of the scans
- How to resolve pitfalls
- Procedures for validation and annual revalidation (filling Standard Operator Procedures forms)
The target audience includes Nuclear Medicine physicians involved in the field of infective diseases.
It is necessary that participants have some experience in the field of infection imaging. The course coordinators therefore highly recommend to follow the online materials as listed hereunder:

It is advised, but not compulsory, that participants have already attended a level-2 course from EANM or any other European Course on Inflammation/Infection Imaging.
Please make sure to book your accommodation for this event as soon as possible.
Please note that a transfer from the ESMIT Headquarter Hotel Villa Maria Regina to the venue and back will be organized by the ESMIT. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that you book your hotel room either in the Headquarter Hotel or in another one nearby.
